Tiivistelmä

Training Rewards constitute a valuable source of revenue for the well-known training clubs responsible for developing football players worldwide. Every notable player carries a record of the clubs for which they have played, and their career trajectory is closely linked to these affiliations. Each athlete possesses a player passport that documents their entire career history. This document serves as the basis for training rewards, entitling multiple clubs to receive a compensation fee, thereby supporting development, investment, and youth football initiatives. Regarded as a potential financial asset, training rewards remain underutilized, as many market operators are unable to identify them. Training clubs lose these rights daily due to a lack of awareness, statutory limitations, the debtor’s omission in notification, and the insufficient involvement of governing entities tasked with safeguarding such acquired rights.

This article, divided into four parts, aims to examine these rights at both international and domestic levels, highlighting the practical effects within the case study of the Brazilian football market, considering that it is the country that released the highest number of players for other countries since 2010, when FIFA began tracking this data.
