Tiivistelmä

In 2010 the Swedish Supreme Court rendered a decision in a case concerning an arbitrator’s impartiality, adding to its 2007 decision in the »Justice Lind» case. The author reviews the Justice Lind case as it developed through the Svea Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Thereafter the articcle deals with the recent Bo Nilsson case and a Finnish case, where the Supreme Court in 2005 found an arbitrator liable to compensate a party in an arbitration for losses incurred through failure to disclose conflicts of interest. Finally, the article seeks to place the development in Sweden and Finland in an international context.
