Franchising in Finland – Lessons Learned from a Multiple Case Study

The study focuses on describing the franchisee recruitment process of the franchise chains which are included. The writer is looking for information on the selection of franchisees and on how the pre-contractual duty of the franchisor to inform the franchisee candidate is in practice satisfied. The writer is not only aiming at getting a deeper understanding of how a franchisor in practice handles the pre-contractual information duty, but also on drawing some conclusions on how it should be handled. In other words, the main research question this article aims to answer is what are the best practices concerning the franchisor’s pre-contractual information duty in Finnish franchising.
